Served with tender steamed new potatoes, it’s a feast that’s as bright as it is delicious. This teriyaki salmon is pure magic—broiled until that crispy top sings ‘Yummy Yum Yum’ in every bite. Ready to wield your broiler and forge this wholesome delight?

Ingredients You’ll Need (Your Quest Inventory):

    • 1.5 lb. new potatoes, cubed (earthy stalwarts)
    • 2 tbsp. teriyaki marinade (the savory elixir) Yoshida’s Gourmet Teriyaki Sauce
    • 4 tsp minced garlic (the bold herald)
    • 2 tbsp. fresh parsley, minced (a green whisper)
    • 4 salmon fillets (the ocean’s champions)
    • 8 cups mixed salad greens (verdant allies)
    • 2 tbsp. fresh basil leaves, chopped (fragrant scouts)
    • 2 tbsp. fresh oregano leaves, chopped (woodland banners)
    • 2 tbsp. olive oil (the golden flame)
    • 4 tbsp. balsamic vinegar (the tart chalice)
    • 1 lemon, halved (the citrus spark)

How to Forge Your Feast (The Quest Steps):

  1. Ready the Forge: Preheat your broiler—your fiery weapon is primed!
  2. Steam the Stalwarts: Cube the 1.5 lb. new potatoes and steam them in a covered saucepan over medium heat—cook for 10-15 minutes until tender, then set aside.
  3. Brew the Elixir: In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp. teriyaki marinade, 4 tsp minced garlic, and 2 tbsp. minced parsley—your marinade is a potent spell!
  4. Prepare the Champions: Lightly spray a broiler pan with cooking spray. Place the 4 salmon fillets skin-side down and brush generously with the teriyaki mixture—armor them for the flame!
  5. Broil the Bounty: Position the pan 6 inches from the broiler and cook for 10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and boasts a golden, charred crust—victory is seared!
  6. Toss the Greens: In a medium bowl, combine 8 cups mixed salad greens, 2 tbsp. chopped basil, 2 tbsp. chopped oregano, 2 tbsp. olive oil, and 4 tbsp. balsamic vinegar—toss until the leaves gleam with tangy glory.
  7. Assemble the Feast: Divide the tossed salad across 4 plates as a verdant bed. Place a broiled salmon fillet atop each, scattering steamed new potatoes around like earthy treasures.
  8. Crown Your Creation: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon and salad, then sprinkle with black pepper and salt—serve and savor the triumph!
