Spaghetti & Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz whole what spaghetti noodles
  • 1 tsp salt

Tomato Basil Sauce

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup sweet onion (diced)
  • 5 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 56 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 4 tbsp fresh basil (chopped)

Turkey Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup Italina breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Boil salted water for the pasta.
  • In a stand mixer combine all the ingredients for the meatballs.
  • Make the meatballs and place them on a parchemtb-lined baking sheet.
  • Bke for 25 minutes.
  • In a large pot heat olive oil on medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion, crushed red pepper, and minced garlic and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, pepper, sugar , and basil and continue cooking.
  • When the water is boiling cook the pasta according to package directions.
  • Combine the cooked noodles and meatballs withe the tomato sauce nad toos to coat everyuthing.
  • Serve and enjoy.
