Crockpot Chili

Seasoned pinto beans slow-cooked all day alongside with a ham bone, ground beef, onions, peppers, garlic, and diced tomatoes.

- 1 lb pinto beans
- 5 cups chicken broth
- 1 ham bone
- 28 oz petit diced tomatoes
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 sweet onion (chopped)
- 1 bell pepper (chopped)
- 2 tbsp diced jalapeno peppers
- 4 tsp minced garlic
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 tsp adobo seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 1 tsp cholula
- 1 bay leaf
In a crockpot add everything.
Set heat to high and let cook for 8 hours, stirring occasionally to break up the meat and pull the meat off the bone.
Add 1 cup of water if desired when the chili starts to get thick.
Divide chili among servings bowls.
Garnish with cheese, sour cream, and fritos, if desired.
