Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb pinto beans
  • 5 cups chicken broth
  • 1 ham bone
  • 28 oz petit diced tomatoes
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 sweet onion (chopped)
  • 1 bell pepper (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp diced jalapeno peppers
  • 4 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp adobo seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tsp cholula
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions
 

  • In a crockpot add everything.
  • Set heat to high and let cook for 8 hours, stirring occasionally to break up the meat and pull the meat off the bone.
  • Add 1 cup of water if desired when the chili starts to get thick.
  • Divide chili among servings bowls.
  • Garnish with cheese, sour cream, and fritos, if desired.
