Spicy Beef Ramen
Renee
This Spicy Beef Ramen is a flavorful, hearty upgrade! First, we ditch the flavor packets and replace them with a rich, savory, and slightly spicy sauce. Then, we add lean ground sirloin, shredded carrots, red peppers, and green onions, letting everything simmer together for a satisfying, twist on a classic favorite.
Prep Time 10 minutes mins
- 1 Lb. Ground Beef
- 1 Cup Carrots Shredded
- 1 Bell Pepper Diced
- 3 Green Onions Diced
- 4 Tsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 4 Cups Beef Broth
- 3 Packs Ramen Seasoning Removed
- Chives, Red Pepper Flakes & Sesame Seeds for garnish
Chop the veggies
Add the ground beef and chopped veggies to the pot.
Sautee the veggies and brown the meat chopping the meat as it cooks.
While that is cooking mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, red pepper and beef broth.
When the ground beef is has browned add the Beef broth mixture to the pot, scraping the bottom to get any stuck bits off.
Boil the liquid.
Add the Ramen into the pot making sure to get as much of the the noodles submerged as you can.
Replace the lid remove from heat and let cook for 3 minutes, Stirring occasionally.
Serve and enjoy.
I like to add a soft boiled egg to each bowl.
If you like it a little sweeter and not so spicy you can add extra brown sugar and leave out the crushed red pepper.
